B89.4.22 Methods for Performance Evaluation of Articulated Arm Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
This Standard details the methods for performance evaluation of Articulated Arm CMMs. Standard tests with alternate methods of data analysis are discussed, including recommendations on artifacts.

B89.6.2 Temperature and Humidity Environment for Dimensional Measurement
This Standard discusses issues when taking measurements not at the standard temperature. Also discussed is the calculation of thermal time constants, or “soak-out time” and the “thermal error index”.

B89.7.2 Dimensional Measurement Planning
This Standard specifies requirements for preparation and approval of dimensional measurement plans, and for the use of approved plans in making dimensional measurements.

B89.7.3.1 Guidelines for Decision Rules:  Considering Measurement Uncertainty in Determining Conformance to Specifications
This Standard addresses the role of measurement uncertainty when accepting or rejecting a product based on a measurement result and a product specification; terminology and rules are presented.

B89.7.3.2 Guidelines for the Evaluation of Dimensional Measurement Uncertainty
This Technical Report provides a simplified approach for evaluation of dimensional measurement uncertainty; the method is consistent with "The Guide to Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM)."

B89.7.3.3 Guidelines for Assessing the Reliability of Dimensional Measurement Uncertainty Statements
This Standard examines how to assess the reliability of dimensional measurement uncertainty statements, and how resolve technical disagreements involving their evaluation.

B89.7.4.1 Measurement Uncertainty and Conformance Testing:  Risk Analysis
This Technical Report provides guidelines for setting acceptance limits in conformance tests wherein uncertain numerical test results are compared with specified requirements.

B89.7.5 Metrological Traceability of Dimensional Measurements to the SI Unit of Length
This Technical Report offers guidelines for demonstrating traceability of dimensional measurements.  Issues include measurement uncertainty, uncertainty budget and documentation traceability requirements.

B89 TECH PAPER Space Plate Test Recommendations for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM’s)
This Technical Paper details the construction of space plates and discusses methods of data analysis.  A space plate is an economical and practical technique for estimating the uncertainties of CMM’s.

B89 TECH RPT Parametric Calibration of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM’s)
This Technical Report deals with parametric (kinematic) errors including linear axial, straightness, rotational yaw, pitch, roll, squarenesses and rigid body errors.
