Description:
The ASME Codes and Standards – Screw Threads Collection – contains the following documents:

B1.1 Unified Inch Screw Threads (UN and UNR Thread Form)
This Standard specifies the thread form, series, class, allowance, tolerance and designation for unified inch screw threads having a 60 degree included angle.

B1.2  Gages and Gaging for Unified Inch Screw Threads
This Standard provides essential specifications and dimensions for the gages used on unified inch screw threads (UN) and UNR (external threads only) thread form.

B1.3M  Screw Thread Gaging Systems for Dimensional Acceptability – Inch and Metric Screw Threads (UN, UNR, UNJ, M and MJ).
This Standard presents screw thread gaging systems for determining the acceptability of UN (unified), UNR, (external threads), UNJ (internal and external threads), M and MJ screw threads on externally and internally threaded products.

B1.5  Acme Screw Threads
This Standard provides for two general applications of Acme threads; namely, general purpose and centralizing.

B1.7  Screw Threads:  Nomenclature, Definitions and Letter Symbols
This Standard establishes uniform practices for standard screw threads with regard to screw thread nomenclature, and letter symbols for designating features of screw threads for use on drawings.

B1.8  Stub Acme Screw Threads
This Standard provides guidance when a coarse-pitch thread of shallow depth is required due to mechanical or metallurgical considerations.

B1.9  Buttress Inch Screw Threads (7 Degree/45 Degree Form with 0.5 Pitch Basic Height of Thread Engagement)
This Standard relates to screw threads of buttress form.

B1.10M  Unified Miniature Screw Threads
This Standard specifies the thread form, series, tolerance and designation for Unified Miniature Screw Threads.  The series covers a diameter range of 0.30 mm to 1.40 mm, extending the metric M-Profile and unified thread series that begin at 1.6 mm.

B1.13M  Metric Screw Threads:  M Profile
This Standard contains general requirements for 60 degree metric screw threads with a basic International Standard M profile.  Design data is included for standard and special threads.

B1.15  Unified Inch Screw Threads (UNJ Thread Form)
This standard contains general requirements for UNJ screw threads with a basic profile design. Design data is included for standard and special threads.

B1.16M  Gages and Gaging for Metric M Screw Threads
This Standard provides essential specifications and dimensions for gages used on M series metric screw threads, and covers the specifications and dimensions for the thread gages and measuring equipment.

B1.20.1  Pipe Threads, General Purpose (Inch)
This Standard covers dimensions and gaging of pipe threads for general purpose applications.

B1.20.2M  Pipe Threads, 60 Degree, General Purpose
This Standard is a metric conversion of the widely accepted NPT taper pipe thread B1.20.1 Pipe Threads, General Purpose (Inch) Standard.

B1.20.3  Dryseal Pipe Threads (Inch)
This Standard covers dryseal pipe threads based on the USA pipe thread that differ from the USA pipe thread designed to seal pressure-tight joints without the necessity of using sealing compounds.

B1.20.5  Gaging for Dryseal Pipe Threads (Inch)
This Standard provides information regarding practical dryseal thread inspection methods and commonly used gages for production evaluation purposes.

B1.20.7  Hose Coupling Screw Threads (Inch)
This Standard provides applications for threaded parts of hose couplings, valves, nozzles, and all other fittings used in direct connection with hose intended for domestic, industrial, and general service.

B1.21M  Metric Screw Threads:  MJ Profile
This Standard contains general requirements for MJ screw threads with a basic profile design. Design data is included for standard and special threads.

B1.22M  Gages and Gaging for MJ Series Metric Screw Threads
This Standard provides essential specifications and dimensions for the gages used on MJ series metric screw threads, and covers the specifications and dimensions for the thread gages and measuring equipment.

B1.30  Screw Threads:  Standard Practice for Calculating and Rounding Dimensions
This Standard establishes uniform practices for calculating and rounding the numeric values used for inch and metric screw thread design data dimensions.

B1 TECH REPT  Measurement Uncertainty for 60 Degree Screw Thread Gage Element Measurement (Inch and Metric)
This report provides estimates of uncertainty associated with the measurement of pitch diameter, lead and flank angle only for screw thread gages.

B94.9  Taps:  Ground and Cut Threads (Inch and Metric Sizes)
This Standard covers various designs of standard taps, nomenclature and definitions; the standard system of marking; and dimension and tolerance tables for specified types and styles of taps.

Y14.6  Screw Thread Representation
This Standard establishes requirements for pictorial representation, specification, and dimensioning of screw threads on drawings; it is not concerned with dimensional control of screw threads.

Online Access - Subscribers get secure online access to search, view, bookmark, track, and print documents according to the license agreement. Online documents are updated daily. Multiple users can share a single license. You also get access to IHS Standards bibliographic data – more than 1 Million documents.

Individual Documents - IHS sells individual documents through the IHS Standards Store in electronic or hardcopy formats. Statistics show that 1 out of every 5 people who purchase individual documents would benefit from an online subscription.  You should consider a collection over individual document purchases if your company buys more than $3,000 in standards per year.
