Business Driven Solutions for the Information, Entertainment, and Communications Industry

ATIS Collections - List of Popular Standards

The ATIS Complete Collection is filled with the industry’s leading telecommunications standards. This collection includes documents from the following technical committees:

  • Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC – Formerly BCSC)
    • This Committee establishes guidelines for common shipping labels, product marking labels, product changes and software issuance standards. These common guidelines simplify the receiving, shipping, transportation and tracing of telecommunications products through company and industry business processes and the supply chain.
  • Emergency Services Interconnection Forum (ESIF)
    • ESIF is comprised of wireless and wireline network service providers, manufacturers and providers of support services that facilitate the identification and resolution of technical issues related to the interconnection of telephony and emergency services networks.
  • IPTV Interoperability Forum (IIF)
    • The IIF develops standards that enable the interoperability, interconnection and implementation of IPTV systems and services, including video on demand and interactive TV services.
  • Industry Numbering Committee (INC)
    • INC addresses issues associated with the planning, administration, allocation, assignment and use of resources and related dialing considerations for public telecommunications within the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) area.
  • Network Interconnection Interoperability Forum (NIIF)
    • The NIIF is concerned with industry-wide issues associated with telecommunications network interconnection and interoperability that involve network architecture, management, testing and operations.
  • Network Interface, Power and Protection Committee (NIPP)
    • The NIPP Committee develops and recommends standards and technical reports related to power systems, electrical and physical protection for exchange and interexchange carrier networks, and interfaces associated with user access to telecommunications networks.
  • Network Reliability Steering Committee (NRSC)
    • The NRSC performs analyses of network outages and provides recommendations for corrective actions. The committee issues quarterly and annual reports to the industry and the FCC, in liaison with the FCC's Network Reliability Council.
  • Committee O5 - Wood Poles (O5)
    • Committee O5 develops standards and specifications for industry use in areas dealing with wood poles, crossarms and other wood products.
  • Ordering and Billing Forum (OBF)
    • The OBF is focused on issues that affect ordering, billing, provisioning and exchange of information about access service, other connectivity and related matters.
  • Optical Transport and Synchronization Committee (OPTXS)
    • OPTXS develops and recommends standards and prepares technical reports related to telecommunications network technology pertaining to network synchronization interfaces and hierarchical structures for U.S. telecommunications networks, some of which are associated with other telecommunications networks. OPTXS focuses on those functions and characteristics necessary to define and establish the interconnection of signals comprising network transport. This includes aspects of both asynchronous and synchronous networks. OPTXS also makes recommendations on related subject matter under consideration in various North American and international standards organizations.
  • Network Performance, Reliability and Quality of Service Committee (PRQC)
    • PRQC develops and recommends standards, requirements, and technical reports related to the performance, reliability, and associated security aspects of communications networks, as well as the processing of voice, audio, data, image, and video signals, and their multimedia integration. PRQC also develops and recommends positions on, and fosters consistency with, standards and related subjects under consideration in other North American and international standards bodies.
  • Packet Technologies and Systems Committee (PTSC)
    • PTSC develops and recommends standards and technical reports related to packet services and packet service architectures, in addition to related subjects under consideration in other North American and international standards bodies.
  • Telecom Management and Operations Committee (TMOC)
    • This Committee develops operations, administration, maintenance and provisioning standards, and other documentation related to Operations Support System (OSS) and Network Element (NE) functions and interfaces for communications networks - with an emphasis on standards development related to U.S. communication networks in coordination with the development of international standards.
  • Wireless Technologies and Systems Committee (WTSC)
    • This Committee develops and recommends standards and technical reports related to wireless and/or mobile services and systems, including service descriptions and wireless technologies. The Wireless Technologies and Systems Committee also develops and recommends positions on related subjects under consideration in other North American, regional and international standards bodies.
