British Standards Institution (BSI) - Historical Section

Standards issued by British Standards Institution (BSI) are used by industry and governments throughout the world and have been adopted by many other countries and international standards bodies.  The BSI Historical Section is a file of 20 years of standards and amendments up to July 1989, which may only be leased along with sections of the current file.  This historical file is not included as part of the complete service.

British Standards have been adopted by many other countries and international standards bodies and are especially vital to exporters and importers in their engineering, design procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance departments.

IHS Provides BSI Standards in the Following Formats

• British Standards Online
• Intranet or Extranet – Documents reside on corporate internal networks (depending on individual licensing agreements) for quick desktop access, retrieval and sharing.
• DVD – For locations with strict security or where online communications is an issue.

Individual Standards – Individual standards documents may be ordered from the IHS Standards Store in hardcopy format.  IHS subscription customers may purchase individual Portable Document Format (PDF) documents.
