Scope:
This Standard establishes minimum requirements, identified by industry
consensus, for the training
and qualification of installers of firestop systems and devices for
piping systems.
The qualifications under this Standard are restricted to those that
are required by this Standard,
the model building and plumbing codes requirements for firestopping
developed by NFPA, ICBO, SBCCI,
BOCA, ICC, and IAPMO, and consensus standards for piping system
penetrations of
fire-resistance-rated walls, partitions, floors, floor/ceiling
assemblies, roof/ceiling assemblies,
or shaft enclosures.
