Scope:
This test method covers a procedure for measuring the sonic velocity
in manufactured carbon and
graphite materials having a grain size less than 0.80 mm (1/32 in.).
The sonic velocity can be used
to obtain an approximate value for Young's modulus.
The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard.
This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns,
