Scope:
This standard describes purified aluminum sulfate in liquid,
ground, or lump form for use in water and wastewater treatment.
Purpose
The purpose of this standard is to provide the minimum
requirements for aluminum sulfate, including physical, chemical,
sampling, testing, packaging, and shipping requirements.
Application
This standard can be referenced in specifications for purchasing
and receiving aluminum sulfate and can be used as a guide for
testing the physical and chemical properties of aluminum sulfate
samples. The stipulations of this standard apply when this document
has been referenced and then only to aluminum sulfate used in water
supply service and wastewater treatment applications.
