Scope:
This specification covers the material, dimensions, and construction
of diesel exhaust water traps,
which shall be required whenever the exhaust is to be expelled through
the hull of the vessel.
The traps are designed to prevent sea backwash from entering the
diesel exhaust system.
The values stated in SI (metric) units shall be regarded as the
standard. The values given in
parentheses are for information only.
