This specification covers repair tape for the insulation of splices and for making watertight repairs on magnetic minesweeping cable sheaths.

Repair tape shall be of the following types, as specified (see 6.1): 

          Type I - Synthetic or natural rubber.
          Type II - Synthetic or natural rubber coated cotton fabric.
