This specification covers premium quality bolts and screws made from a low-alloy, heat-resistant steel and having threads of UNJ (MIL-S-8879) form.
Application:
Primarily for joining parts where a combination of fatigue resistance and high strength is required for applications between -100°F (-73°C) and +1000°F (+538°C) in highly stressed locations. A coating, such as AMS 2416 or AMS 2506, is recommended for corrosion protection.
