Scope:
This guide covers those symbols to be used to identify the location
and operation of lifesaving
equipment related to evacuation of personnel in the marine
environment.
The symbols depicted should be used whenever graphic representation
could assist personnel in
locating their emergency stations and equipment and in the operation
of such equipment.
Posters or signs depicting these symbols should be placed in
conspicuous locations in the vicinity
of survival craft, their launching controls, or other lifesaving
equipment.
The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. The
