Scope:

This Practice describes the guidelines for selection and installation of capacitance, differential pressure, displacement, level gauges, level switches, noncontact, and nuclear instrumentation for liquids and solids level measurement. This Practice does not include guidelines for tank gauging systems or weighing systems.

This Practice provides engineering guidelines for designing level measurement systems.
