Scope:

This specification covers commercial and structural steel sheet in coils and cut lengths produced by the twin-roll casting process.

The steel sheet is available in the designations listed in Section 4.

The material is available in the following sizes:

Thickness - 0.027 in. [0.7 mm] to 0.078 in. [2.0 mm]

Width - up to 79 in. [2000 mm]

The values stated in either inch-pound units or SI units are to be regarded separately as standard. Within the text, the SI units are shown in brackets. The values stated in each system are not exact equivalents; therefore, each system must be used independently of the other.

NOTE 1 - A description of the Twin-Roll Casting Process is included in Appendix X1.
