Scope:

OBJECTIVE

Perform controlled laboratory tests to find the range of operating conditions that existing rubber protectors of various brands can now meet. This will aid A.P.I. in establishing the following minimum requirements:

1. Side load for slippage to occur.

2. Number of hours for destruction to occur at a given load.

3. Casing wear depth and weight loss at a given load and time.

4. Also any other minimum standards that may seem necesary after test results are evaluated.
