ASTM D4644: Standard Test Method for Slake Durability of Shales and Similar Weak Rocks

This test method covers the determination of the slake durability index of a shale or other similar rock after two drying and wetting cycles with abrasion.
All observed and calculated values shall conform to the guidelines for significant digits and rounding established in Practice D 6026.
