Scope:
This Standard specifies the requirements for distribution (power), control, and signal cables for use aboard commercial ships and mobile offshore drilling units (MODU’S), rated 8000 V maximum, in single or multiconductor construction, with or without metal armour, and with or without an overall jacket.
This Standard may not cover all types, sizes, and voltage ratings of marine shipboard cable that may be required for particular applications.
The performance requirements of this Standard include the petformance requirements of IEEE Standard 45-1983.
