Scope:
This Practice describes the guidelines for design and construction of non-refrigerated, aboveground storage tank foundations. Applicable industry specifications are referenced, and the data required to determine the most appropriate foundation for a tank are presented. In addition, this Practice addresses tank foundations preferred for the different types of soil conditions. This Practice also includes information on settlement and releveling and procides procedures to address these issues.

This Practice provides guidance for the design of tank foundations.
