Scope:
Purpose and Scope
This test method is designed to determine the antimicrobial
activity of new carpet materials and consists of three
procedures:
A qualitative antibacterial assessment.
A quantitative antibacterial assessment.
A qualitative antifungal assessment.
This test method may also be used to evaluate the effect of a
cleaning process (agreed upon by the interested parties) on the
antimicrobial resistance of carpets.
