Scope:
This guide covers the development of a galvanic series and its
subsequent use as a method of
predicting the effect that one metal can have upon another metal can
when they are in electrical
contact while immersed in an electrolyte. Suggestions for avoiding
known pitfalls are included.
This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns,
if any, associated with its
use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to
