The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) seeks to establish a global Technical Advisory Group (TAG) to coordinate standardization efforts in the health care sector.

Based on the experiences of the CEN's Advisory Board for Health Standards (ABHS), the new Global Health TAG (GHTAG) seeks to integrate international work efforts from the following organizations:

The GHTAG will explore a possible title for the activity, terms of reference, goals, constitution and mode of operation.
