ASTM International published Manual 43, Technical Aspects of Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments: 2nd Edition and Manual 44, Guide to ASTM Test Methods for the Analysis of Petroleum Products and Lubricants: 2nd Edition.
The 2nd edition of Manual 43 was updated to address the recent changes to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) All Appropriate Inquiry Rules and the revised ASTM Phase I standard.
It was expanded to include additional explanations, approaches and figures.
Manual 43 demonstrates how to apply the ASTM Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) standards to everyday business decisions in the real estate transfer process.
It can also be used as a training tool for environmental firms and lenders that need to introduce new staff to the environmental assessment market.
This manual is a resource for environmental professionals, lenders, commercial real estate professionals, consultants, land investors and land developers.
The elements of standard analytical tests used to characterize petroleum products and lubricants are available in Manual 44, Guide to ASTM Test Methods for the Analysis of Petroleum Products and Lubricants: 2nd Edition.
Brief descriptions of 576 tests include principles involved, test summary, advantages, limitations and test precision data. Equivalent tests from the Institute of Petroleum (IP), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS), Deutsches Institut für Normung e.V (DIN) and Association Francaise de Normalisation (AFNOR) are also referenced where available.
