Standards evolve at a steady pace year to year, and at a high volume.

In 2006, IHS updated our standards database with more than 41,000 changes to engineering standards, ranging from nanotechnology to environmental issues, such as RoHS/WEEE and lead determination/detection in paint.

At IHS, we not only keep up with the pace, but we alert you automatically when your favorite standards changes. And, we make the changes easy to differentiate, view and compare.

For example, we normalize document numbers across standards developing organizations (SDOs) to ensure accuracy of retrieval. We use document parsing algorithms to ensure documents are located with or without special characters/punctuation (spaces, slashes, etc.). And our new, flexible search filters and document displays help you quickly understand how different vintages of standards relate, and which one is most relevant. All of which helps you stay focused on your design and production, rather than struggling to stay abreast of changes.
