4. 2003 ICC I-Codes Available
You can now get a subscription from IHS to the 2003 I-Codes from the International Code Council (ICC), which contains all 14 Model Codes that are being adopted widely across the U.S. Use these codes to ensure you are consistent with construction and building requirements by designing to one set of standards. All codes are also available for individual purchase via Global Engineering Documents, the retail arm of IHS.

5. ANSI Forms Committee on Homeland Security
An Interim Steering Committee (ISC), consisting of more than 25 members, has been formed to lay the framework for the Homeland Security Standards Panel's operational structure and guidelines. The ISC's proposed focus will be on standardizing the immediate needs of the Department of Homeland Security, regarding setting homeland security and emergency preparedness standards.
The full panel will meet sometime this summer to launch standard-setting efforts. Membership in the ANSI-HSSP is open to representatives of industry, government, professional societies, trade associations, standards developers, and consortia groups directly involved in U.S. Homeland Security standardization. Membership in ANSI is not a requirement.

6. Get Update Notices From VIS
"Watch Lists" help ensure you are always aware of the latest information in your IHS Vehicle Information Service (VIS) subscription regarding specifications, standards, and downloads. To have automatic updates sent to you:
- Create a "Watch list" in VIS of key documents and downloads that you would like tracked
- To receive updates for the GM Supplier Toolkit add document number "Download GM Toolkit"
- Enter your e-mail address and others on your team to receive automatic email notification of updates and alerts
7. CAPS Expert Expanded "Status" Functionality
Expanded functionality gives you confidence in knowing you are accessing the most current and relevant information available. "Status Codes" have been expanded from the core 7 to also include more than 130 reference description codes that are hyperlinked with reference to an explanation of the part status. In addition, CAPS Expert has added "Status Reference" categories that include only non-parameterized part records provided by Manufacturer, GIDEP and other life-cycle sources of information for electronic components.
